In addition to core passenger air travel, the company diversifies its revenue streams through activities such as cargo and mail delivery, passenger charter services, and the development of frequent-flyer programs. Its fleet comprised 181 operational aircraft, with a contractual passenger fleet totaling 185. Founded in 2008, Azul S.A. maintains its headquarters in Barueri, Brazil. However, on May 28, 2025, Azul S.A., alongside its affiliates, initiated voluntary Chapter 11 reorganization proceedings in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
